The Swedish Energy Agency is financing a feasibility study for the construction of a deep geothermal plant in Central Sweden.

To investigate whether Deep Geothermal Energy can be a profitable alternative for a significant Swedish energy supplier, the Swedish Energy Agency has financed a study in which Aktiebolaget Geotermi Sverige investigated the conditions. The study shows that the conditions appear to be so good that we recommend that you take the next step in the investigations where test holes are drilled and the geological conditions are investigated with geophones and other available methods. The proposed plant is planned to replace an existing plant that generates district heating.
